The current tools for finding a Nanny are broken in ways that hurt everyone. Job boards treat Nannies like gig workers. Matching apps gamify trust with star ratings. Background check services are buried behind confusing legal agreements. Families end up hiring based on a gut feeling formed in a single interview. Nannies leave jobs with nothing to show for years of care.
Chrella was built to fix this. We believe Nanny Care is one of the most important professional relationships in a family’s life, and the people who do this work deserve a platform that treats them as professionals — not contractors bidding for gigs.
We open a city at a time because great professional networks start with real community. We build density and trust before scale — because a directory of 10,000 strangers is worth less than a community of 500 professionals whose work can be traced to somebody who put their name to it.

Our values
Verification over volume
Anyone can create a profile anywhere. On Chrella, what sits on a profile can be traced to someone: a background check the member ordered and chose to show, an endorsement written by a Family who actually employed them. What we do not do is interview anyone or verify certifications, licences or references — so the interviews, the reference calls and the questions that matter most to you are still yours to make, on both sides. We'd rather give you 500 profiles worth checking than 50,000 that are not.
Endorsements, not ratings
Star ratings tell you almost nothing. A written endorsement from a family that employed a Nanny for three years tells you everything. We built our reputation system around context and relationship.
Both sides matter
Most platforms treat Nannies as a supply problem and Families as the customer. We believe both sides deserve tools built for them — Nannies deserve professional recognition, and Families deserve real transparency.

Privacy by design
Nannies are professionals whose home addresses and daily routines should never be exposed. Families are sharing their children's lives with strangers. Every feature we build starts with the question: how do we protect both parties?
The name
Chrella — pronounced KRELL-ah. The mark is a single letter doing two jobs: a rose a for alma mater, Latin for nourishing mother, with an amber c for Chrella folded into its belly. Look again and the a is a mother’s belly, with the c curled inside it as the child.
